An interview with Midevenings host, Jay Miller
Staten Island native, Jay Miller, is the host of Midevenings with Jay Miller. A unique type of talk show filled with many unexpected appearances and events. Whether it’s Bobby Bunz feeding his pet head, or Pooh Bear (Tim Duffy) wrestling Chris Gethard. This show will surely keep you entertained.

Below, Jay talks about his favorite television shows, pranks he’s played, and Gary Busey’s smile.
Were you the class clown growing up?
Yes! Always the class clown. Funniest kid in the class. Also, no girls wanted to date me and none of the kids wanted to hang out with me.
This social status hasn’t changed in 20 years.
Did you ever play pranks? If so, what kind?
I went to a mini-high school reunion the other day and was reminded of the time I took a girl’s Playgirl magazine, cut out all the penises and stuck them to the classroom door while a class was going on. I also brought in raw meat and threw it around the room. The counselor called my mother into school and told her that they thought I was psychologically disturbed.
Do you have a favorite talk show host?
David Letterman is the king of kings. He will always be the god I pray to at night. With that, Johnny Carson is the guy who raised me and showed me what it means to be a (talk show) man. BTW: This is like asking a kid who his favorite father is. (This kid has gay parents.)
Would you be open to a WWE style talk show? (The show takes place inside a wrestling ring).
These days the WWE talk shows or interview segments are so bad. Faces shouldn’t be hosting! Roddy Piper, Adrian Adonis and Brother Love had great ‘talk show’ segments because they were instigators. If I could be a wrestling character, I would just be myself because I love being an asshole. Unfortunately, the character I play in my daily life is that of a nice guy.
If you had a drink named after you, what would it consist of?
Malibu Jay Breeze. It would be just like a Malibu bay breeze but it would have a little bit of my cum in it. (fuck! this is funny but this is too crass to post)
Editor’s Note: Nope. Good to go!
Who are some comics you find humorous?
These days I find it very difficult to sit through comedians. I just don’t have the attention span for it. They either have to be very good or very bad. Nick Turner and Todd Barry are probably the 2 comics I can sit and watch for a long period of time.
If Midevenings with Jay Miller had a pet (like an elementary classroom would have), what would you prefer the pet be, and why?
The pet would be a pretty girl who thought I was funny and wanted to hang out with me. She would also be very drunk.
What are some of your favorite, and least favorite television shows?
My favorite show ever is Lost. It makes me sad, like thinking of an old girlfriend or my youth. I really miss them. My other favorite show is Saturday Night Live. I haven’t missed an episode since I was about 7 years old, which is insane. My least favorite show is probably anything that involves fat people not losing weight.
If you could book any performer/guest on the show, who would it be?
I could never book the people that I would really love to be on the show because I would feel like I wouldn’t be good enough and would cancel them before they ever made it to the studio. So I like to aim low. I hope to get my dad as a guest one day.
What are your feelings on Gary Busey’s smile?
His smile is the truth.
