Of Course Someone Used Super Mario Maker To Rickroll The World…

I’ve been excited for Super Mario Maker from the moment that I learned that it was being released. The game, which allows you to create your own Super Mario Bros. levels, is something I’ve been thinking about since elementary school. I’d be sitting in class, designing my own Super Mario Bros. games, usually ones that are near impossible to beat.

Now in the wonderful world of 2015, that classroom fantasy is a reality. Of course, before I see a single completed custom world, we get a super-troll being the most internetty troll that one can possibly be using Super Mario Maker as a trolling medium, The Rickroll. YouTuber, The Cabal, used various villains and objects to play¬†Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

Give it time, but I have a feeling Mr. Cabal is going to be one of those “Real Men of Genius” sometime in the near future. Do they still do that?
