Sexy Mets Fans Exist And A Calendar Is Imminent. Also, Serious Blog on Blog Love.
I want to take a moment right now to show another blogger some serious love. Having lived the day-in-day-out grind that is running a successful blog for over 3 years now, I’ve come to LOVE watching other bloggers who are working just as hard (not to mention smart.)
Now, The 7 Line is a New York Mets centric blog, but if you’ve ever worked hard at anything you’ll be able to relate. You see, this passionate blogger named Darren Meenan took to Citi Field (Where the Mets play) with a sign making sure the world knew his feelings about the potential trade of superstar shortstop Jose Reyes.
The sign he made to display those sentiments was shown on ESPN’s national Sunday Night Baseball telecast to millions of people. Being the smart dude that he is, he made sure to include the url of his blog “The 7 Line” on the poster board.
Unhappy with the pimping of his website (and it’s accompanying clothing line) on the sign, some foolish Citi security guard kicked Darren out of the stadium which gave his story legs. Serious legs. After his David V Goliath story reached the press, it was fucking everywhere.

So that’s pretty cool. Darren was able to parlay his little media exposure into a lot. I know a lot of you don’t really care yet… but this is where you’ll start to feel it.
The first thing this guy does with his 15 minutes of fame? Create a T-Shirt whose proceeds would go directly to the foundation for former Mets catcher Gary Carter who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. This dude is a class act!
Much, much, Respect. How do you top helping the charity of a hall of famer with brain cancer? How about with boobies!?!
OMFG. He’s giving the world a calendar of sexy female Mets fans.
We will be giving 12 of the hottest Met fans a chance to be in our 2012 calendar!
Obviously we have no ties with the Mets so you’ll be wearing our clothes, most likely cut up and altered to look a little more sexy and flattering. This will be done sexy but classy.
Man of the year.
::tips cap at Darren:: Good work sir. Very Good Work.
