Coastal elitism has bred a persistent dispute between East and West: Which side produces the best cheeseburger?
Don Arangio is a Director of Photography and Producer who is proof positive that you don’t need to go on the path put in front of you in order to find a viable career.
Last summer, DAPS, along with Don from Arangio Media set out to figure it all out. Then we tried it, children’s cough syrup and all. In this DAPS original video, watch comedians Tim Duffy and Kevin Devlin join DAPS’ Carlo and Dave in making and trying the storied cocktail. How did we come up with our recipe? No, we didn’t make it up like some people on the internet.
Welcome back to the show, internet friends! The above video represents the way you should feel about our return :)
In May of 2012, the DAPS kids began discussing the idea of making a television version of our website, which was peaking at the time. The idea slowly began to come together over the hot summer months. We teamed up with our friend Don Arangio as a producer on the project and recruited some of our very talented friends as well.
Friends of DAPS Mike Shane and Don Arangio recently took an exploratory mission into iconic (if not unknown) landmarks throughout NYC. Picking 1 from each borough the pair documents the journey and captures the feelings of mystery, pride, danger, etc, perfectly.
The ticket was a rolled up scroll of charges, weighing in at about 2 pounds and running a whopping 75 feet in length. Upon returning to the office, we took some photos. The next day I posted these photos to Reddit.com and within 24 hours, the album I posted online had received 1.2 million hits.
This weekend, Damian, DAPS producer Don Arangio, and I hit up the BAM Cinema Festival for the NYC premiere of Mike Birbiglia’s Sleepwalk With Me. The film which is an adaptation of the comedian’s book and one man show of the same name, is the semi-autobiographical story of Birbigs’ personal difficulties with REM behavior disorder, relationships, becoming a comedian, hovering jackals, bears, and winning the gold at the dustbuster olympics.
